Run with the Hawks & Sweet Pea

Greetings, Cross Country Families!

I hope you are having a wonderful summer!

Even though we have a month before the XC season officially begins, planning for the upcoming season already is underway. Of course the runners are doing their part by running and having tons of fun. I don’t know about yours, but mine are tired, very happy campers following the Hyalite Camp. THANK YOU to Coach Casey and to all the volunteers who helped make the camp possible. By all reports, it was a success!

Now, we would like to ask the parents to get involved.  🙂

The team will participate in the Sweet Pea Parade (after the run) on August 5th and Run with the Hawks, August 26th.  The parade is a fun way to expose our amazing team to the community and a means of advertising our primary fundraiser later in August. The parade doesn’t require much in the way of parent help other than to encourage your runners to join in, but the Run with the Hawks does.  Please consider signing up for a job to help during, before, or after the event on the signup genius:

If you have or know of someone or a business that might have raffle prizes for the RWTH, please contact Laura at lhumberger@gmail.com. (T-shirts, hats, water bottles, gift cards, etc…)

There will be a meeting at 7:00pm August 1st at the BHS oval to continue plans for the upcoming events. We hope you can attend.

If you would like to sponsor the XC team with a monetary donation, or know of a business that would, please contact Martha at mccpeters@gmail.com. She has the forms and instructions on how to become a sponsor. The name/logo of the sponsor will be advertised on the t-shirts for the Run with the Hawks (and therefore seen all over Bozeman and wherever they are worn).  The proceeds from sponsors and the fundraiser help to offset travel, uniform,  and other expenses not covered by the district.

Thank you and more to come soon.
