Wednesday Through Rest of the Week

This week…

Week #5

With Monday and Tuesday behind us, let’s just start with Wednesday!!!

Wednesday: Billings JV runners meet at BHS 4p. Pre-meet practice along with meet details.  Group going to Missoula for Mountain West will be meeting at Kagy Korner Store.  Please meet in the grass area, directly behind the daycare (it’s all in the same area). Practice on this day should wrap up a little early; around 6p.

Thursday: Billings JV Invitational, dismiss from school 12:10p, depart 12:30p–BE ON THE BUS LOOKING “RACE READY”! Races start at 4:30p at Riverfront Park in Billings–take South Billings Boulevard Exit turn South and drive 1/2 mile towards the Yellowstone River.  The park entrance will be on your left.  With only two races, I would anticipate we should be eating by 6:15p and back home by 9:30p.  Please bring money for dinner or food for dinner.

Mountain West Group—as of 6am Wednesday morning, you will be meeting at a neighborhood park near Spire Climbing Center/ Oracle Business Park on Enterprise Blvd.  This meeting location should be confirmed at Wednesday nights practice.  Be prepared for a challenging type of run.

Friday: Mountain West group leaving for Missoula at 12:40p.  Dismissed from class at 12:10p.  We will have a team dinner in Missoula dress appropriate for team representation.  Bring enough money for dinner Friday, lunch Saturday.  Spending the night, plan accordingly.
9:30a – JV Girls
10:15a – JV Boys
11:00a – Varsity Boys
11:45a – Varsity Girls
12:20p – Middle School Boys (Race 1.6 miles)
12:45p – Middle School Girls (Race 1.6 miles)

Remainder of team: The next 3 days are yours for training.  In almost every case you would be unwise to completely take all 3 days off from physical activity!  Yet, this might be a good opportunity to reduce the pounding for some of you by turning to biking, swimming, eliptical……by all means if you are healthy, get in a few miles of running 2 of the 3 days.  Perhaps some could do 1 day of running and 1 day of alternative.  Truly look at your own training and your own situation and plan the weekend accordingly.
