Week of Great Falls
This Week….. Sept. 22 – Sept. 27
Great set of meets this past week. We are competing well. I am pleased with the attitudes and comraderie that I see in this team. We are forging a great team.
Monday — Meet at BHS, attendance starts at 3:56. Moderate distance CAR. Remember the principles of hydration and nutrition as you carry through the day.
Tuesday — Meet at BHS, 3:56. Prepare for the most challenging day of the week. We will be working out in and around Lindley Park.
Wednesday — Meet at BHS, 3:56. Recovery run, easy pace, easy to moderate distance. Aaaaahhhh.
Thursday — Meet at BHS, 3:56. Pre-meet light run with some striders for those competing in Gt. Falls. Moderately, challenging run for those not traveling this week.
Friday — Great Falls Invitational. Who goes? Be listening; travel squad will be announced on Monday. You may also inquire with a coach Tuesday, Wednesday if unsure.
Dismissed: 10:10 Depart: 10:20 Location: Anaconda Hills Golf Course
Schedule: JV Boys: 3:00, JV Girls: 3:40, Varsity Boys: 4:15, Varsity Girls: 4:40
All other runners staying back will be expected to run, normal practice schedule, location TBD.
Saturday — For all runners that did not travel to Gt. Falls, there will be a run on this morning (exact time yet TBD). While this will be an “Optional Run”, it is strongly encouraged, particularly for those who are experienced runners who are needing one extra tough workout in the week. Please talk to your coaches about your plans and whether this workout fits your progression appropriately.
Topics that will be clarified at Mondays practice: Weekly mileage goals, Travel roster, Eligibilty for upcoming meets (how do coaches make ddecisions for travel and/or Varsity teams if sickness/injury are a factor), perhaps more.
