Last week of July and into August!
Final week of July-Beginnings of August.
Runners, we have a big week before us with lots of great opportunities to put your fitness to the test. Keep following a steady pattern of increase. If you have been good about following your summer training guide, simply stay with it, nothing more, nothing less. If you are just now (or in the last week or two) getting your summer running started, increase gradually and PLEASE come to the get-together runs; in time you’ll feel more and more fitness return.
Tuesday — “Readiness Run”. You can meet with coaches at either 7am or 7:30 pm at the Bozeman Creek Trailhead (known also as Soudough). We want you give solid effort as you climb the rolling hills towards “the bridge”. Freshman will go to the 4 mile mark; all others will go to the bridge. (If you are just returning to some summer base running we will have you go to the outhouse; about 2.8 miles.) REMEMBER, this run helps us to know who is ready for the rigors of our “High Altitude Reward Camp in August.
Thursday — Speed Enhancement Work. MSU track at either 7 am or 7:30 pm.
Friday — No formal meeting.
Saturday — Bozeman Classic. Sign up early in the week. Run either the 5K or 10K. I hope to see many of you on Saturday
