STATE CHAMPS X 2 Individuals X 2 Teams

Both the boys and girls were “THE HAWKS” at state today with dominating performances on both sides. On the girls side there were personal bests flying around with Caroline Hardin taking the win in ~17:25, Andie Creel broke 18 again with a 17:59 in 5th, closely on her heels was Michelle Cline with ~18:05, 9th place was Katie Stephens with ~18:39, 11th place was Bridget Creel with ~18:46 (All of these were all-state). Both Brigid Bradshaw and Beth Jansma ran PRs and finished 17th, and 21st for the most dominating performance by a girls team ever in Montana.

The boys also took the individual title when Jakob Woodland left the field behind on the massive Mt. Sentinal hill (at least that’s how I felt to run up to watch each race). I don’t know the times for the boys, but Preston was 6th, Adam was 8th and Jason was 14th. Ben Rich, Mark Raymond and Colter May brought it home for a very clear win.

Both the Missoulian and the Chronicle had excellent pre-state articles in the Saturday morning papers. The last time I saw Coach May he was being hounded by reporters so I suspect there will be some great articles in the morning papers.
